From one scrapbook to another…

We are loving the first edition of Cecil Beaton’s scrapbook - it’s a unique panorama of life in the twentieth century as seen through the eyes and lens of this amazing man. We love the articles about christmas, the Silver Jubilee of 1935, Palm Beach, New York and Hollywood and all the characters he knew loved there.

As Jubilee weekend looms, we have fallen in love with Chris Levine’s holographic royal portrait all over again!

We were very sad to hear the news about Vidal Sassoon this morning.

We love the Helmut Newton retrospective at the Grand Palais in Paris… The exhibition brings together more than two hundred of his photographs and there is also a great film made by his wife of sixty years, the photographer June Newton: Helmut by June.
