Happy Easter everyone! Check out this beautiful jewelled egg made by Faberge. These were given as presents in Russia between 1885 and 1917 as a celebration of Easter and show the best craftsmanship you will ever see.

We were lucky enough to spend a morning at the iconic but long disused Commonwealth Institute on London’s Kensington High Street. Sitting up on the roof in the morning sun with a view over London’s roof tops was amazing. Soon work will begin to restore and adapt it to become the city’s new Design Museum… we can’t wait to see it.

The beautiful and talented British writer and muse Caroline Blackwood was once married to Lucien Freud and Picasso drew all over her hands and nails when he met her. Here she is at her most natural, shot by American photographer Walker Evans in the spring of 1958.
